So you have a small business and you want a professional looking website but you think the cost of the design might bust your budget?

First you need to pay for the domain and web hosting for the website which can be as little as a weeks worth of petrol you already spend on those business trips!

Then you need the website designed and built or coded with all the added functional bits needed to handle a contact form or fancy navigation menu and maybe a portfolio to show off your small business. This might also include a content management system to enable you to add, delete or edit your own web site pages. It can be scary for a small business to think about the cost of selling online and having a fully functional e-commerce web site.

Phew! …all sounds very expensive and out of reach for a small business but it might be less than you think to get all this up and running. The money you spend on a website shouldn’t be thought of as an overhead but as an investment towards the growth of your small business.
