Winchcombe Festival

Square One were pleased to win this years design contract for the Winchcombe Festival’s second year. This years festival is held between May 28th and June 3rd and consists of music, dance, song, arts and crafts celebrating both the Silver Jubilee and the Quincentenary of Queen Katherine Parr, who died at Sudeley Caste, Winchcombe. With over 40 events and 400 performers there’s bound to be something to appeal to all ages – check out their website here for details of all the events.
May Day Woodmancote

For the fourth year on the trot Square One have donated their design skills to a local charity event – May Day in Woodmancote – proceeds of which get ploughed back into local organisations such as scouts, brownies, guides, ACT etc. This year ties in with the Olympics being a sporting hero theme and there are plenty of sporting events happening on the day from gymnastics, football, rugby to name a few. Or if you fancy something a little more sedate simply pop into the beer tent and listen to the ukeholics ukelele band – or while away the afternoon browsing the many stalls before finishing of with a nice cuppa and a famous WI cake!
Entrance is free but people are encouraged to buy a programme for £1 (which includes a free raffle ticket) – these are available on the day (Monday May 7th) or from Woodmancote Newsagents.
BA Hull cards and folder

BA Hull re-designed business cards and folder amendments.
The brief was to adapt a business card design that would accomodate a hand written name and to re-compile the front cover image on a presentation folder that is designed to contain additional inserted A4 sheets, a before and after shot of the photoshop image is shown for the folders front cover image. A cutout of the vehicle was made first then the old one retouched out using photoshop, detail in the grass foreground is still visible and maintains realism.
Herries – done in a hurry!

Whilst it could be argued that websites are the way to go for companies marketing themselves there are still some areas where tradition forms of print are paramount – one such area is school prospectus’s and we have recently completed a school prospectus for a private school based in Berkshire called Herries. Using a third person consultant (Mark Brookes) whose speciality is education- the project was extremely smooth and very timely with only two proof runs required from start to finish.. Headmaster Charles Lacey is said to be delighted with the end result.
